Another newbie confirmation question before soldering: on a Marshall style input jack, which lugs are the tip, ring, and sleeve?

My assumption is that it's setup in that order -- tip, ring, sleeve -- from the jack input (meaning left to right in the pic). Is this correct?

Dead backwards. In your photo, from left to right, it's sleeve, ring, tip.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Dang, glad we cleared that up!

Is there a good reference site for questions like that?

Buy an unsoldered 1/4" plug and unscrew the back of it. Now plug the jack into the socket, and use the continuity checker on your Multimeter to figure out which pin connects to where.

Dadgum, another no-brainer solution. Thanks for being so patient with a new guy! :)
