Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah Issue???

So ive had this Clyde deluxe for a few years now. One day it started sounded like it was getting stuck on one part of the wah sound. the real high pitched, top part of the wah sound. The first thing I thought was, the pots are known to go out in the Clyde wahs. So i bought a new pot from fulltone, installed it the same way the other pot was installed. Now Im getting the same thing, but the pot is acting like a volume but backwards. When the pedal is in the up position,  the wah go's completely off. When its in the down position it turns back on, but the wah is not wahing, thus acting like a backwards volume pedal with a wah sound stuck in one position of the wah. Make sense???

Any help would be amazing!! Thank you in advance!

It sounds like the 4.7uF cap in your circuit went bad. When that happens, you usually see that kind of behaviour (speaking of acting like a volume pedal). If it's working backwards, switch the two outside connections on the pot.

Could also be the inductor. I'd change out the cap first, because that's cheapest, but if that doesn't do it, then I'd look at the inductor.

I guess it could be the inductor, although with my one experience with a bad inductor, it did not act like a volume pedal - it didn't really do any wah sounds, nor sound like a volume pedal. It was weird...  :icon_confused:

There is a CAP that if ground is lifted will make the wah act like a volume.. i have it as a switch on mine..

on a  VOx wah it is the larger cap to the left of board under the Inductor
.. check that.
