I am fairly new to building stompboxes and very new to this forum.  I was looking at a wah circuit on ggg and found it called for a 500 mh inductor.  i noticed small bear has in their wah pedal parts section a transformer that he says the primary works a s a 500 mh inductor. (Transfomer - Mouser 42TM013) How do you hook a transformer up as an inductor?  also, if the circuit calls for a 100k pot  what is the best taper to use.  I am basically looking to try and make cheap box with a single knob that sounds like a wah pedal in the %^&*ed position.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First of all welcome. Read all the sticky threads. About the pot, it has been discuseed plenty of times, so make a search and read a lot.

ABout the transformer.. there's a how-to at GEOFEX(.com) but it's not the exactly same transformer i think.. anyway I think it would work as a reference.

i found the article at geofex you were talking about and im pretty sure that info will work perfectly. as for the pot im thinking ill just have to do a bunch of experimenting to find what will work best since im not making it a rocker pedal but just a set effect.  Thanks for all the great help. im sure my project will turn out now.

If it's going to be "set it and leave it" just use the 100k pot at GGG, respect if it's a log pot(A), or linear(B)

and you'll be more than fine.
