Similar to Maxon AD-9

Hey guys,
I've been searching around here to find this info, but didn't come up with much.  One of my friends is in a band that has been getting Maxon stuff for free.  They unfortunately had to return the delay they were using after they finished their new record.  I was trying to figure out which delay project would come closest to a Maxon AD-9.  I, myself, have never played around with them, though i read that they used BBD chips...

would the rebote get close?
