Really Need a 20K tone pot for my Boss DS-1

My 20K tone pot in my DS-1 is TOAST!

Where can i get a replacement for it ??

  Usual places is where I'd start looking.
  SB, Mouser, maybe a fried DS-1 for parts like that.
  If using new part, I'd check to see if what you can get looks like a similar taper to what was in there.

If you can find a 25k one, that will sub without any problem.

BTW, what makes it "toast"?  Has the shaft snapped?  Is it just scratchy?  I'm not guaranteeing anything, but there may be a way to salvage/repair it......maybe.

I got some 22k lin ones from maplin of all places but not sure where you are and if its what you want . If your in england PM me and I'll send you one up

the pot is broken in half.... when i opened it i noticed a crack in pot, caused it sounded bad. So i decided to take it out of the pedal. Bad mistake, i knew i should have left it in there, any way once removed i couldnt get it back together. SUCKS!

It is probably linear, since the middle position will need to be viewed as "flat".

Of course getting a 20k pot is not the hard part.  Getting a 20k pot that fits the installation space is the hard part.  So where do people get Boss-sized pots?

never looked inside a boss pedal before (can't afford them! ha ha ) can you not use any of these

Or get your local music store to order one directly from Roland. Ask for a DS-1 tone pot not a 20k pot.
