metal zone on-but no sound!

this is my buddies metal zone, with no mods, and it powers up, but no sound comes through when engaged. does anyone know why this could possibly be? he said that it just happened one day, and that was that! has not been touched with a soldering iron, but maybe he plugged in th wrong power supply? anyone have similar problems? thanks!

  Voltage readings on the chips etc.
  Audio probe.
  If signal doesn't get past the Jfet switches...that'd be it most probably.
  If it does, audio probe following the schematic to probe at signal path points.

at the anode end of D1 and D2 im only getting around .07, vs. the 8.67 im getting everywhere else...is that normal?
