Hi, i found this PNP germanium transistors, are they suitable to build a rangemaster or a fuzz face.:

2SA114
2SB460
2SD72
2SD72K

Thanks

Why not just take a look at the GEO fuzz face article (http://geofex.com/Article_Folders/fuzzface/fffram.htm) and test your transistors for gain and leakage?  There's so much variation among Ge transistors within a part number that you can't predict affirmatively that a given part number will yield a useable transistor for a particular circuit.

2SD are NPN. FWIW I'm going through around 200 PNP mainly Japanese "2SB" Ges (so far) sorting for leakage and gain, and IMO the $11 to $16 for a usable pair offered at Small Bear (or whereever else you can obtain the equivalent) is very much worth it. Unless you get extremely lucky, I doubt you'll get the correct gains from just a couple (assuming you want the leakage/gain sorted Ges described at the GEO and Small Bear articles, etc.).

Ordering from SmallBear certainly takes out the guesswork.  All the transistors I've bought from Steve have been as he marked them for both gain and leakage - the leakage especially has been very low on all the Ge's I've got from him.
