The question I have if there are different pot manufacturers used in the old triangle muff?   I'm accustomed to seeing CTS style pots with numbers to tell me the manufacturing date in ram's head and 3rd version stylle muffs. I've seen pics of CTS pots also in 1st verions. I got my first triangle and I'm questioning the pots. The other owner hard wired the pots to the board at one point and I would like to put it back but it seems that the pot lugs from first veiw are short. Iit only has a sticker stating 100k Audio on it and no numbers that I can see. What's your input?

Most of the triangle muffs I've seen had board mounted pots with date codes from 1966.   I'e also never seen ANY EH pedal with plastic enclosed jacks so I'd bet those aren't original.

I'd have to agree.  The pots and jacks are both suspect.

Yes, I figured the jacks were not original. My real concern was with the pots though. I'll post some better pics of them tonight.

Skreddy

Yeah; they should be board-mounted pots.

These are basically the same as the originals...

Thanks for the link. Here are some more pics. I know it is supposed to be mounted to the board and the pot don't look like they are pc mountable pots. I didn't find any numbers on the pot but I haven't peeled off those stickers yet. Oh, each sticker says,"100K audio" Not right.. tone should be linear right? He did state that the pots were original so I just want to make sure before I bitch...Thanks guys.

I would check a BMP schematic, IIRC tone's linear.
Maybe different [as in the alternate taper] is good in some way.
I'd watch if you replace with metal jacks that the added connections are congurent with correct power supply operations, i wonder why insulated jacks...is the enclosure grounded?
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I removed those stickers and still no numbers. There should be some number! Plus, the pins on the pots do not line up to where their supposed to enter the board. I don't understand the post above about IIRC. Did muffs come with IRC brand pots? I checked the values of the pots and they are correct. Any final thoughs?

The originals were regular solder lead pots. EH soldered a fairly stiff wire to each lead, insulated the wires, and bent the wires so they could be soldered to the board.

I have never seen a Big Muff with IRC pots.  They're not original.
