LED lights although no power supply is connected

I modded a Boss GE-7 by changing out a few opamps and caps for a bit more hi-fi tone (sniper mod).  I also changed out the LED.

Things worked quite well at first but now I seem to be getting some unwanted hum.  Also, the LED lights up when I first plug the pedal in to a power supply.  It will turn off if I press the pedal but, when I leave the pedal off and unplug and plug back in the power supply, the LED comes back on.  When I check for a solder bridge between LED + / - legs the LED actually lights up without a PS connected (no bridge detected though).

Does this sound like a case of some cap not being fully discharged somewhere in the circuit or could it be a solder bridge?  What tests can I run with my meter to find the issue
?

Many thanks.....

Jason

I've noticed that the diode checker on one of my multimeters lights LEDs when I check them. Try checking a couple completely out of the circuit to see if yours does the same thing. You may have to look directly at the end of the LED to see it lighting up.

....found the problem.  It was a lifted solder pad on the new cap I subbed in.

Note to all...the Japanese GE-7 is quite good stock so, I wouldn't waste time improving it.  Plus, the board isn't good about taking on a round of desoldering / re-soldering.  I still think the Dano Fish N Chips takes the cake for budget EQ pedals as it is more quiet and transparent.
