I built the range master from the GGG site on PCB. Bought the tranny from Small Bear and used the recommended resistors. I have a Les Paul with humbuckers and a coil tap switch. When I go to single coil I get a squeal. This is at any level on the range master. I thought this effect worked well with single coil pups.

humm = dunno

all my guitars have single coil pups and I get no squeals from my various rangemasters - could it be the wiring on your coil tap? Did you do it yourself? Do you get squealing with any other pedals at all?

I need to take some voltage readings and post them. There's definately something not right.

mac

Average voltages:
vc=6.7v - 7.0v
vb=1.0v
ve=0.9v - 0.8v

mac
mac@mac-pc:~$ sudo apt install ECC83 EL84

ranchak

Vc=10.2
Vb=1.3
Ve=1.2

Looks like I have something wrong

mac

10.2v ?
That's more than the battery.

mac
mac@mac-pc:~$ sudo apt install ECC83 EL84

This is being used with a power supply. I did find a problem. There are two pcb layouts on the GGG site. I used the positive ground instead of the negative ground. I need to make these changes and see how I do.
