Anyone know of some good mods for a mini Danelectro Pepperoni Phaser?

I have afriend who would like to make his mini Danemectro phaser sound better if possible.  We both understand it is an inexpensive pedal that isn't all that great, but we were wondering if there are any mods for it.  Or if anyone has any mods they've done themselves.

  Gotta be mods for it.
  Thing is those mods would require finding or retro-ing a schematic for it [or at least would make it much easier to 'read and discuss].
  And the thing is made from SMD components so..you'd be quite limited in what mods you could actually implement on it, perhaps tapering a pot or something like that, if soldering is possible..
  You might find a cool mod tap point, say a pot where you could try a different higher capacitence to ground [could maybe solder on the pot and then run a ground wire]. Might not too.

Changing the allpass networks cap's will give you another kinds of sounds.

Looks an awful lot like a Phase 90 (see Tonepad or GEO for schem), in which case you may be able to use some ideas from that... maybe getting yourself some smd caps to put in parallel with the existing phase shift caps (the 0.01 uF caps in Brian's schem).  Those caps are 0.05 uF in the Phase 90, so maybe an increase would help.  Seems like the soldering for that type of mod would be possible in principle, if you're brave and have a steady hand.

The least invasive thing you could try is tweaking the trimmer.  Who knows how carefully they set it in the factory, so you might get some mileage out of that.  I would mark or write down where it's set first, though.

  If the pot [phase 90 has 1], is accessible, the speed range could possibly be altered.
  If there's room in the box for a circuit and a pot, a booster could possibly be installed.
  For finding the mods you'd like, reads and soundclips can offer alot of guidance, although not quite the same as having a workable board, and after having worked it, you'd be in a more knowledgable position to find whether these mods would be worth trying to get into the 'lil Dan-0' module.
