Anybody know here of any schematics or sources for a white noise genertor?

GREEN FUZ

I just did a VERY quick search of the forum. There are some threads relating to it but a couple that I checked out had broken links. I`ve got a book by R. A Penfold that has schematics for White and Pink noise generators. Let me know and I`ll post them to you.

How about GEO?

See
http://geofex.com/FX_images/pseudorandom2.pdf for a high quality CMOS noise generator and
http://geofex.com/FX_images/lofi.gif for a quick and dirty analog method.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

ahhh never mind, here is my own whitenoise schem based on another ive seen

what do you want it for?

I'm never really happy with noise generators based on reverse junction breakdown, because it means that performance varies depending on the transistor used.
Would it be possible - using a low-noise op amp - to multiply up the inherent noise of a 1 meg resistor to a useful level?

Forgot to say thanks....too mnay other things going on.

gona put together the really simple looking one g. posted.  I only want it for testing tone controls on a few things.  Got the scope was just a usable noise source I was lacking so I could do something useful ;)
