In the Noisy Cricket from Beavis Audio, what are the 47 nf film caps? I've never heard of them ???. it says they are film, but I dont know how to convert to them. Can someone post a link to them at smallbear, or tell me how to convert it? Thanks!

The example below would work with any number value.  I used the 47 to show how it would be converted so you get the idea.
4.7nf = .0047uf
47nf = .047uf
470nf = .47uf

Hi
I strongly suggest that you replace the 47nF / 0.047uF cap before the volume control with a 0.1uF cap.  This improves the bass from being very weak to just slightly weak.

For a bass guitar, 1uF is required in this position.

I added a new page on my site that details building a Noisy Cricket entirely from Radio Shack parts. :)

Brett, thanks for the bass cap points, I added them to the mods section.
