Metal Simplex Question

All,

On the Vero layout for Howie's Metal Simplex as drawn by Xavier, there is text label on the upper right hand corner of the board called "LED +".  Does this mean that the positive lead of an indicator LED goes here?  If so, does the negative lead go to ground?

Sorry for the newbie question, I'm still trying to learn.

The led in the circuit does not go to ground at any point, iirc it's there for reverse polarity protection.
