Tremulous Lune build

I built the Tremulous Lune from TP this weekend... its a great unit!  I built it exactly to the specs- no mods... yet.
2 Quick questions-

• Is the "smooth" control usually pretty subtle?
• There are some value changes listed  in the build reports, what do those do?

i built it with symmetry mod (highly recommended!)
tweaking symmetry and smooth knobs can get lots of cool sound
