Trying to figure out which pot value to use - going for that jimmy / clyde thing.  Smallbear has a 200k adn 100k "icar". Ive looked around and found something on changing one of the .22 caps to a .33 to mimic the icar taper but is this for the 200k or just a regular crybaby 100k? Also found something here that said the 200k pots are just a bit brighter. Seems like it would make a bigger difference than that. One thing Ive noticed is that the tredle doesnt sweep the entire 300 degrees of the pot throw. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have the 200k from SB in my recent wah build and I like it a lot. I did include the mod to make it ICAR. I also tried the pot with a 200k resistor across the outer lugs to bring it down to 100k, but I preferred the sound without this. Re the brightness, If you find that your wah is too bright, there are simple mods to adjust this to taste. Have a search for them.
As for the treadle, you are correct in that it can't rotate the full range of the pot. That's normal. You just need to disengage the 'cog' of the pot from the treadle, mess with the pot setting, then reconnect it to the treadle.  Do this a few times until the wah range is where you like it. You can increase the sweep range by removing the two rubber stops under the toe position

100k is standard in vintage italian wahs, as well as modern wahs. if youre going for THAT tone, i highly recommend using smallbear's Icar pot. its cheap, and it works great. if you want the step up, have a try with either a Hot Potz II or a Fulltone Icar pot.
no longer the battle of midway...(i left that band)...

i hate signatures with gear lists/crap for sale....

i am a wah pervert...ask away...
