OK guy's and ladies. I have read every post I could find on this and I'm yet to find one that matches my Scenario.
After looking at the neovibe board and reading for 2 day's I found a trace that was touching so I cured that and still nothing..
I checked all the voltages with the schematics and there real close with in 1 volt. I pulled all the transistors out and tested them and there fine ( transistors are a mix of 2n5088 2n4124 msa18 and all have a gain of 450 to 550) its what came in the box and they are new I do have the 3904 for the light. the tester I have is an old Heath kit transistor and diode checker model It - 10.. I pulled one side of all the resisters and checked those as well. There good to go.The power supply is 2 9 volt battery's linked together to make one 18 volt. .. I have the hot and ground from the battery's going to the out put side where the bridge rect. would be.I don't have a bridge rect in it yet but i do have a 7812 tranny in it
The light works and flashes The speed controll speeds it up and slows it down. the depth makes it brighter and dimmer. It does make a buzzing sound ( because it is close to my solder iron) and the buzzing sound vibes up and down + it makes a boom sound every time it does it.. When I play a note from my guitar it sounds like static Elec.It sounds to me like something isn't grounded but what I have no idea.
I did go through and make sure there was no more traces touching. I used a pick and just scratched around all the traces..
I have a bridge rect. and some 2n5088 on the way but I was hoping I could get it going with what I had .
I also checked my switch guitar cable and so on all good..
Thanks for your help.

I found the problem .. It was a resister in the wrong place. :icon_redface:

An hour and a half??? That's great. It usually takes me longer than that to find a bum component value.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Oh i wish it was that easy it did all my home work looking trough all the old post on it reading all i could. 3 day's total to fix and it still wasn't all of it.
It had a trace missing from the board. that was another 6 hours of unsoldering everything and matching the circuit board traces + re soldering it all back together..It is working now and it sounds Killer I wouldn't have believe that they sound that good.. I really cant believe no one is making a kit..
It was my toughest trouble shoot to date.. I have got to get some glasses.
Well Thanks guy's for looking in and have a good one.

Glad you got it working.
Can you post a pic showing your LDR set up or a sound clip?
In building mine the positioning of the LDRs and the actuall LDRs themselves made the biggest difference.
I swapped out the Radio Shack LDRs I had in there for some "fast" wide ranging units and they worked so much better.
