Can 1uF NP electros be used instead of polys?.

sure, although they might have a negative influence on soundquality. Small Bear has 1uF that fit into the GGG PCB.

Personally I would (and I did) choose the poly's.

I use cheapo 1 uf ceramic caps and it sounds fine.
