Leslie simulation revisited

Looking at one of the related threads something RG mentioned made me think. You could make a sort of approximated leslie sound by splitting a guitar with an A/B/Y , running one into a phaser then into an amp with all the low end rolled off, then running the other into a tremelo pedal into an amp with all the high end rolled off. Stick em a couple feet apart....I'm sure it would sound cool at least. I'm a big fan of running phasers and trems simultaneously at different speeds....

I'll hazard a guess that the Heartthrob tremolo/vibrato/phaser hybrid could come in really handy for this...
