picked up and old dunlop volume pedal to experiment with some pedal steel flavors and thought this might be possible; rigging up an expresion pedal to control the speed of the trem.

i've never done anything like this (nothing offboard at least) and was wondering how it might be accomplished.

do i simply wire the speed pads from the board to the lugs of an ungrounded jack instead of a pot and then back to the pot from the jack in the pedal? what if i want both a knob control and a pedal control to simply bypass it when needed?

im weeks away from attempting this but any thoughts appreciated...

Check out this page at Geo, should have everything you need. It's pretty simple to implicate (for any potentiometer based control): http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/xprnped.htm
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

Yep that's the page.

Also consider doing the pedal jack with a NORMALIZED Tip Ring Sleeve 1/4" phone jack instead of RGs suggested 1/8" (3.5mm mini phone).

They are easier to get, stronger, and better to wire up compared to 3.5mm jacks.

It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.
