I have a 2006 DEM that is noisy as all get out. The noise is a bumping that fluctuates along with the rate knob. I have tried adjusting the internal trimmers and they reduce the noise a bit but they reduce the effect as well. Have any of you had success at replacing the chips in order to reduce noise? Thank you

Edit: I'm willing to make a donation to the forum but I don't see a button.

Could be nothing more than a duff electrolytic capacitor in the power regulator circuit. Are the chips in sockets?

Yes, the chips are in sockets. Will you tell me how to test an electrlytic? I have a vm.
