My VL MicroVibe hates my Bluesbreaker

For some reason, my Voodoo Lab MicroVibe will not let my Bluesbreaker clone do it's thing if the BB is directly in front of the MV.
I have a Line6 Crunchtone right in front of it and it works fine. I used to use the BB right after the CT and it worked fine, but if the MV is right after the BB, it compresses the signal down to virtually nothing.

Is there something in a MV that could go out that would make the volume drop by about 90% if you put too much drive into the input of the MV? Something in the input stage or buffer or something? OpAmp blown?

I swear I'm about to put the MV in the river over this. I can't wait until I get all the parts for a NeoVibe build.

Cheers,

how does it sound with the vibe BEFORE the BB ..... a lot of people (including Hendrix) have (had) the vibe first in the signal chain or at least before any distortion ...

I've had troubles finding out about the Voodoolabs Micro-Vibe pedal, for instance are the input/outputs buffered?

  I have VL MV.
I diddled around with placement for a day, trying early/late/middle, then mounted it after the wah, or first in line, it doesn't like wah.
Seems to work best as Vibe, but kinda weak, wierd or thin with Fuzz, Dist on it, ok with boost.
When I put it or a phase after fuzz, it works neat like 'Who's that Lady' with the distortion sweeping like whitecapped waves, the positiion in sweep ramp more immediately evident, a pronounced Phasey sound, a whole different thing than 'Vibe'.
With the vibe before Rat, FF, ZW44, Minibooster etc.
  {I had RM/LPB/Mosfet Tri-Booster right after vibe/before distorters, minibooster after}.

Convention creates following, following creates convention.

It sounds very weak when it's before the BB, but doesn't squash the volume to nearly nothing.
It USED to work ok, but differently in various parts of my chain, now it doesn't.
I've had some serious reliability problems with this pedal in the past including the effect fading out after about 10 seconds of use.

There seems to be a threshold of input level where it just crawls inside itself and not only doesn't 'vibe' but cuts output by 90% or so.

This isn't a "where in the chain" kind of issue.
It's more of a "what's broke in the MV" problem.
