Can you delete text from DIY Layout Creator?

I just created a layout using the DIY Creator, and I misplaced some text that I would now like to delete. How does one do this?

right click on text and select delete IIRC, or find it in the component list, left click on it and press Del on the keyboard or right click and select delete.

It doesn't work? It goes to the last component placed instead. When I go to the component list it doesn't give me the option either?

Down the right hand side of the screen there is a list of things you have placed. Find the text and delete it from there
