I'm researching a lot of different eq situations.  I hate feeling like I'm mooching off of everyone by asking too much without giving back much yet.  Maybe one day.. 

I will give ya'll one thing that I've started doing though.  Grab a dual band graphic eq,  put your circuit in the middle of both of em and tweak.  Gives you a good idea of where you want things in the finished circuit as far as the eq around it goes.

That leads me to this question:

Can someone point me in the right direction for moving the mid frequency?
I've got some var. capacitors from my time working at a ham radio accessory company but I'd like to read up on it alot and probably not have to wind up using those if at all possible.
I really appreciate any help and "gentle" nudges.
