I'm repairing an Ibanez PD7 phat-Hed for a friend, a bass overdrive. When the pedal is bypassed it all works, but when turned on the LED lights up but there is no sound. I found a 1N4003L SNAPPED in two in there... everything else looks ok. I was able to get replacements but they're of the S variety... would it make any difference?

Also, I see no reasons why I shouldn't try the pedal with a guitar rig right..? I have no bass rigs to test it with...

Thanks if you can help!

Meh made no difference... the pedal still lights up but there's no sound at all. There seems to be no leaked capacitors and everything is correctly connected to everything... I have no idea...

The L in your reference designate a A-405 package, you can remove it with a 1N4003S.
I think that you need this link for repair this stombox:

Wow THANKS for that! DOH hahah... I'll see if it helps. Without knowing what's wrong in the first place it may be a lost cause though, we'll see. Thanks!

Eh weird: mine's got 3 JRC4558D in.
Weird part 2: I can't find that 1N4003 anywhere on the schems...
