Im looking for a diagram/some instructions as to how to make a dual tap tempo switch for my boss rc-2, much in the same way as this person has done http://cgi.ebay.com/BOSS-RC-2-Loop-Station-Pedal-RC2-w-External-Dual-Pedal_W0QQitemZ330162104823QQihZ014QQcategoryZ101974QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Just wondering if anyone can give me some guidance as to how i go about doing that? Im assuming 2 momentary spst switches connected to a single stereo jack>stereo cable but im not sure as im quite new to pedal DIY, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Bump, should be an easy one for you guys

I think you just need 2 momentary push to make switches and a stereo jack/cable. Connect one lug off each switch to the sleeve of the jack/cable and connect the remaining lugs one to the tip and one to the sleeve. Then one of the switches will do the tap tempo and the other changes through the phrases.
I'll double check that that's how it works on mine and do a drawing if you still need it.

Thanks a lot, thats what i had figured but didnt know, if anyone can confirm that that'd be great but im going to try it now.

Can anyone confirm that it works like this :

2 momentary push buttons/1 lug of each to the sleeve and 1 other lug goes to the tip and 1 other lug goes to the ring?

That seems like that is the only likely way it would be.

It looks like the builder used something like these soft touch switches, it's nice not to have to stomp the tempo.

You could forgo the jack and just have a trs cable coming out of the box, you'd save a jack, and wouldn't have to deal with keeping track of a special cable.  You could use any three conductor electrical cord, and it wouldn't need to be shielded (it would be less fragile if it wasn't).
