hi, can anybody help me?
im want to make a simple clean power supply to supply power of 13 pedals
do u guys know of any site that shows how to make this?
btw since the 13 pedals might be inside 1 big enclousure, i was wondering whether i can use wires to connect it to a single output then use an adaptor for that output
thanks in advance :)

how about the godlyke power all or the visual sound onespot?

http://www.visualsound.net/1spot.htm

if you have the money to build a supply using a traffo, you have the money for one of these commercial products, which is far superior to anything you are likely to diy and paassed safety regs, i dont know of any switchmode diy projects...

yeap.. i was thinking about a 1spot, but im not sure whether the 1spot would be overheated and stuff due to so many pedals..
btw any way i can link all the powersupply together so that i can make a single output to connect to the onespot?
im planning to join all the pcbs together in one enclosure like pete cornish works.. thanks

The first thing you want to know is how much total current all of your pedals will draw. Then you can compare that figure with the output power of the supply that you are considering and know whether it will be adequate. There is published info on what draws what (I remember seeing a recent thread about it here), or you can learn to measure current draw and work it out on your own--very educational!

the one spot comes with a daisy chain so you can connect 5 pedals, you can buy another daisy chain so you can connect a further 5, (but one is taken up from the previous daisy chain so you can then connect 9 pedals) etc etc.

alternatively http://info.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1410&source=2001&doy=search - same thing.

the one spot wont overheat, itl supply 1.7 amps.

typical boost of distortion is 30ma, typical delay or chorus is 300ma, so if you have 2 delays and a chorus, you'll only be using just over half of the current, and they are ten times more current hungry than most other pedals.
