Fuzz Box SUggestions Needed

Greetings all,

A friend of mine has asked me to build him a couple of different types of fuzz boxes, one that has the "classic" sound of the Yardbirds, Stones, etc., and the other with more of an "over the top" type sound.  I thought I would build them both in a large single enclosure and include a clean booster as well.

Since I'm not really an aficionado of fuzz, I figured I would ask the group to make some suggestions.  I know that this is a very subjective question, but any and all help would be most appreciated.
