Small Stone chip alternative for CA3080

Hi I'm looking at building the Small Stone but this CA3080 chip is impossible to find. I looked on Mouser but I found some almost 4 dollar replacement. I was wondering if anyone has found any luck with using alternative chips, preferably from mouser or otherwise very cheep. Thanks
