I'm building the Fuzz Face from the Tonepad layout. I bought the uber-transistors from Small Bear and they give me optimal resistance for R3 thru R6 while the tonepad layout specifies only R1 thru R5. Can anyone clear this up?

Thanks

both will work but, i'd use the small bear numbers as they are specific to your tranny's.

They may have used different labeling terminology for which resistor is R1, R2, etc. in the layouts.

For example, the Tonepad layout includes an extra 'anti-pop' resistor as R1 that's not part of the standard Fuzz Face circuit.  I suspect the R3-R6 designations provided by Small Bear refer to the Bear Face circuit rather than the basic FF.

Apologies in advance if you've already seen this, but http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/fuzzface/fffram.htm unlocked all the mysteries for me when I recently tackled a Fuzz Face.
