dd-3 hit cut mod help

So i did the hi cut mod, i used a .047 cap, i tried to solder it on the outside lugs of the feedback knob but got nothing. so i soldered it to the effect level/mix knob, worked but its pretty subtle. Did i not do something right for the darker darker repeats on the feedback knob??

there is three solder points on the backside of the pcp, where the knob is ...  in a row like that, should be soldered to points 1 and 3 yes??
This is my first true mod,(other than the gambit mod on the pb&j but that doest count hahah) so i appreciate all the help!!
