I'm currently building a Neovibe and I've been reading up about the mods. So, I read about the unity gain mod as well...

But I was wondering, if I leave off the volume pot (or the equivalent 100k-to-ground), would that bring up the volume enough? Instead of having to tinker with the preamp gain?
