Boss DD-2 - Malfunction

I was playing it the other day when suddenly it stopped working. The LED doesnt light up, it works in bypass mode, but when its active all there is is a buzz.
I guess this description is a bit vague, but its all i know right now. Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Sounds like a similar problem that I had. That turned out to be a badly regulated power supply, so that might be worth checking out. Perhaps stick in a 9v battery for a quick test.
