I was looking at this layout since i wanted to build a ring mod. i was wondering if the frequency pot could be subbed with a resistor so it only oscillates at one frequency.  I wanna build it with the pot then measure the resistance on it and certain frequencies and replace the pot with a rotary switch with resistors. is that cool?

Why don't you build it with a trim-pot ??  

Seriously though, I think you'll find it more useful with a proper pot, and switchable caps for the frequencies.
The Thingmod does whine a bit, but if you have even a crude noise gate, it works just fine.

i may just have to do that. I just figured itd be cool to have a rotary switch with a full scale so you could just flip it to perfection.
