I have one of the older Boss CE-2's from japan and it is getting some dist in the signal.  Could this be from the electrolytic s.  I've heard that they can go bad over 10 years.  If any one can shed some light on what could be causing this I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks all

It could be that the biasing has gone off.  There is a pot to adjust it inside but I strongly recommend leaving it alone until you have written off all possibilities - unless you know how to set it up properly.  If you have a multimeter you can measure the bias voltage to the delay chip.

ayayay!

Check that OpAmp chip!  My friend's CE-2 started doing the same thing and we swapped with an identical chip.  Problem solved.
