plastic LED holder problem

I have a bunch of those small black plastic LED holders for 5mm LEDs...I had some enclosured -pre-drilled for 6.5mm so that the holders can fit, but they're not "sticking" in place -- the holes are a hair too big and the holder slides just a touch.  Also...when I put the LED in, the LED is not firmly in place...a little pressure from my finger and it can easily be pushed down to below the surface of the hole in the pedal/LED holder.

Any suggestions on how to fix the loose LED holder in the drilled hole?  And what do you do to get the LED to sit tightly and firmly within the holder?

Doesn't matter what you did to get it... If it sounds good, then it is good!

+1, some have a collar that clips over the internal fitting, which squeezes it in place...

if all else fails just ream it a bit wider and use a metal bezel instead...

i don't use bezels anymore, i just drill a 3mm/5mm and glue the led straight into the box...neat!... :icon_cool:

Perfboard 'upside down' [so the copper traces will face up when the board with LED soldered in has it's copper traces facing up...or copperless perfboard...attaches something more than just the LED to screw or glue down.
Poke a couple LED lead-spacing holes in a piece of dense cardboard..use that to pin down the LED into the through hole.
