I still never heard any sound clip for this. Do this sound like TS808? I'm looking for a next project any suggestion would be highly appreciate :icon_lol:.
BTW, I already have BMP/WAH/MosfetBooster/TS808/Rebote/CompressorRoss/MXREF/chorus/Flanger/NoiseGate/
eQ/MetalZone/RangeMaster/MayQueen booster and a ZOOM

the bsiabII doesn't really sound anything like the ts808... the ts808 in comparison is more flavourless and just creates an overdrive effect without altering what the colour of your original signal too much except for a bit in the mids. the bisabII is a thicker distortion. not heavy metal, but very full and 'fat'. it has the potential for heaps of gain which is good. some people describe it as a marshal amp drive sorta sound. i love my bsiabii because it's pretty versatile and suits most things that i play.

Thanks,

John Lyons has some clips on his site of the BSIAB2. Scroll down a bit and you should find it.  I just finished putting one together and am getting ready to box it up. Sounds Great

So this could be compare with DS1?
Yes, [Like two breeds of dog, each having 4 legs]...they're both distorter boxes.
Other than that...no, under the distortions category.
Ed's BSIAB = 2x MuAmps + Jfet design produces different distortion characteristics than: DS-1 = opamp with clipping diodes.
Past tense: I had a DS-1 I thought was pretty good, ~wish I had it for comparison now...
I had [a little bit later production] DS-1's [still have one of those stinkers] that had muddy to harsh tones available, that kind of tone control isn't available on the BSIAB, my take is: makes 'heavy yet smoother' clipping compared to DS-1.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

The BSIAB 2 really reflects the nature of my pickups extremely well. It rolls off nice with the guitar volume control and can give you a crunchy marshall distortion or a light blues sound.  The BSIAB2 is very versatile and usable.  I highly suggest building it.  My modified DS-1 sounds somewhat similar to my BSIAB2.  The DS-1 has a drier sound with a big bottom and harsher highs,  whereas the BSIAB2 has the midrange thing nailed and it has bright clean highs depending on the pickups and volume setting on my guitar.  I use the 2 pedals together.  The BSIAB2 for all rhythm and the The ds-1 after my BSIAB2 with not much distortion dialed in as a boost for solos.  Sounds great!  BTW I don't care much for my TS-808.  With the right amp set to stun, etc. I'm sure it would sound better.  (Doesn't everything though?)

Great great distortion, that of the BSIAB. Awsome. Raunchy, crunchy, fat tones distorted tones. It does some cool overdrive too, but not with me, I use humbuckers. With a single-coil, great overdriven tone.

I built the original BSIAB design, and I still love it. Great tones in that little circuit.  :o

A bit of a side track from this thread:

How does the sound (er, range of sounds) of the BSIAB2 compare with those from a Marshal Guv'nor?

Seems like they're designed to achieve similar sound/tone goals -- that cranked JCM-ish saturation -- although the circuits go about it quite differently (tone stacks; op-amp vs. cascading transistors...)

Which one do y'all like better?

I don't the BSIAB is similar to the JCM-ish distortion. Not at all. More like a Plexi, JTM.
I haven't heard a Guv'nor, so I can't tell you about it.

What's the diffrence of original BSIAB against BSIAB2 Mod? SOUND?

Thanks guys,
Roger

Gluedtogether,
Hi, nice sound clip but does the clip uses the BSIAB only?
Again guys, BSIAB design is better than BSIAB2 design or which is which :icon_question: Which should I choose?

Thanks Darron, Sixstringfill, petemoore and to all.
