Is there a recommended max length to the pots and switch wires (and in/out for that matter)? I see pots mounted on the board and then others where theyre wired 2-3 inches to the board. Im getting ready to start my first project so i want to make sure I get this right.

Just keep them as short as possible but adding a small extra length, it will make easier to housing the circuit in box and for maintenance.

ok shorter is better. Im looking at your pic, are any of those wires shielded? Also, you say thats a boogie pedal, hows it sound.

WLTerry

Yup... homemade shielded wires, because here in my country those are unavailable. Shielded wires are necessary at the input-output and gain pot for hi-gain distortion. More info in the forums.

Here are some demos I've recorded for another forum, explanation is in spanish and basically says how I've recorded that. But the important thing is how it sound... and the Dr Boogey roar like a beast!!
