fulltone fatboost 2

Hi all,

just poked by at the fulltone site because a friend asked me what I thought of the new fatboost 2, thinking it might be like the fatboostered I built.

Anyways, from the product description:

So my points/questions are:

The "pre-clipping bass control"... sounds exactly what the fatboostered is. A buffer bit, followed by a low end tone control, then mini-booster bit, followed by a high end tone control.

The "you can't kill it with any power supply," any ideas on this? I don't know enough about this sort of thing, but I do have another friend who fried his fulldrive by doing such a thing.

The power supply bit is maybe a zener diode or a voltage regulator??
