Schem for 2:1 or 3:1 Compressor with led's?

The Maxon one has 1 led, and the Aphex punch factory has a bunch, but neither has a control input to smooth-out a high-gain source with a "clean" source.

I've also determined that a ratio above 3:1 becomes too touchy.

My rack comp works fine, but I wanna build one in a pedal with a control input and with multiband features.
I also want the compression led to show -3dB "Target" and -6dB "Too Hot."
