Let's say in the classic 3PDT-battery-adapter configuration, like the GGG layouts...
Like THIS

I'd like to add on a circuit (that's going to be always powered via an adapter) a LED that's always lit when the input jack is plugged...How should I wire it?!

Also,  what should be the its resistor value to make it last the longest time?!

u dont need the battery snap right?
take off the black wire from led(-) and connect it to the ring of input jack
and u can use a DPDT instead of 3PDT

For what I understood, the ON/OFF LED will be no more that way, am I right?!
My goal is to have the classic configuration with the 3DPT and the ON/OFF LED, and a LED more that's always lit when input jack is plugged...

Couldn't you just wire the LED to the DC jack with a resistor between the positive lead and the lack?
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

sorry i misunderstood...
so just add another led
ring of input jack---- (-) another led (+) --- (+) indicator led --- 4k7 resistor --- +9v
or
ring of input jack---- (-) another led (+) --- another resistor --- +9v

All right  thank you for your advices!  ;)

I think this is what you are looking for, as soon as you connect the input jack the new led gets "ground", and it's already connected to the positive.
