Please Comment - English Channel into SF Twin

For those of you familiar with the RoG/OLC English Channel could you please comment on how it would sound in front of a '72 SF Twin Reverb? ... I'm interested in building one to try to get close to a Brad Paisley type tone, i.e. little grit, honky, compressed type tone. I'm a litte concerned that my Twin maybe a little too mid scooped for this tone but was hoping the English Channel could overcome this. Please comment!
