Boost but no fuzz?

Just built a General guitar gadgets fuzz with the late 60's mod.  Was working and two hours later it was not - I have no idea.  Vol, Contour, Bias, and Fuzz pots all work, but only boost, no fuzz.  I removed and replaced the transistors (germanium), but no luck.

Any ideas?

I got one last month for my first project.  Debugging page is a lot of help.

looking at GGG, they have 13 fuzz projects listed. do you mean the fuzz face? often the difference between a germanium boost and fuzz is just a 22uf or so (so probably large electro) from the  transistor going to ground. double check the joints etc on that, and the pot it may connect to. you'll first need to be more specific i suppose, and follow the threat listed above.
