C'mon guys help me with my mutron phaser ii

I haven't been focusing on guitar playing like I should because of my many pedal quandaries that have dogged me since last year..How do I keep my mutron from humming....Hint..I got it from a friend in pieces and I haven't been about to understand how they grounded it when they put it together initially..Pictures of how they assembled this gizmo would help out so much.  Thanks guys...

Usually there's a ground wire from one of the jacks that's soldered to a lug screwed to the circuit board.
