Hiya - first time poster here ... pretty new to modding tooo..

Have just modded my Fender blender reissue back to the original schem, as per http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=42190.0 which worked great!

while I was in there, I decided to add a 3pdt switch, and put in and indicator LED. which works 99% awesome. the only trouble I have is that now, the led will light up whether or not the guitar is plugged into the input jack. I took the power for the LED from where the battery leads meet the board... then i figured I should instead run the -ve battery lead off the Ring of the input jack - but theres already a lead there, running back to the board, and i didn't want to start pulling too many cables off.

any suggestions?

cheers,

J

I think we need pictures or a clear description of your power supply wiring. If your led is working without a cable plugged into the input, could be your battery is "on" (and draining) as well.

actually, I figured it out. and the answer was blindingly, stupidly obvious.  :icon_redface:

guess i just needed to sleep on it...
