you could have the left side of the knob (the best sound) start at someone say, Hendrix, EVH, i dunno, someone they really like, and then the other extremely bad side labelled Munky or some other guitarist you know they hate.  Then they could determine in the spectrum where they stand between complete awesomeness and complete sh!t (maybe the middle could be labelled Kurt Cobain?) I guess he was somewhere in the middle.  Theoretically if you only use one knob you would have room for all the labels.

If you could put numbers around the knobs it could be 1-12 beers.
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

telephone type sound

This would be VERY cool. I'd love a pedal that constantly does this old radio/telephone sound. With lots of crackle, very lofi...

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

i saw that on some silly studio equipment that's being sold just for fun, rack units with gobs of knobs, led's and funny names to it, doing nothing to the signal path, but to fill your free spaces in studio racks with something besides blank front panels...

damn, i cannot remember the company doing this!

Also awesome.  I might use this.  One of my friends really loves Black Label Society, so I could do like a "Zakk Wylde...Art Alexakis" knob (guitarist from Everclear).

And this is definitely going on there.

I guess now all I have to do is come up with parameters to go with the labels.  Kinda backwards, but it seems like a fun challenge.

On a real Talent-Booster you shouldn't forget the Wank-control, specially loved by those Hairspray-Metall heroes!

Okay so I'm thinking a 3-knobber, with controls labeled:

Talent Level
Wank
Bizkit

QSQCaito

the high knob, which can simulate from pot, cocaine, lcd effects.. depends where you put it.

A de-perfection knob, so you sound real.

Look at it this way- everyone rags on air guitar here because everyone can play guitar.  If we were on a lawn mower forum, air guitar would be okay and they would ridicule air mowing.
