VTL5C3s to VTL5C3/2?

can you do that? i have a bunch of VTL5C3s and i need some VTL5C3/2s so is it possible just to have them stacked on top of each other. have the leds share holes and then have the 2 resistor ends share the center of the 3 holes? im sorry if this description is vague.

keep in mind that 2 LEDs need double voltage or double current then a single one

ok. Im planning on building the phase 100 from general guitar gadgets. it looks like the leds are fed straight from the main power.  so im guessing i will i have to throw a charge pump in there before the leds to get it up to 18 volts. ill probably just build it and see if it works and if its doin alright ill leave it but otherwise ill go find the circuit for getting 18v from a single battery. i know ive seen it around here somewhere.
