I have searched and can't find it.
I have seen it on here before, but I forget how to do it.

I have a 100k pot and I want to make it 250k or even 500k, what do I do to raise the 100k pots value?

Thanks alot,

Nick

I'm pretty sure you could add a resistor(s) to the lug which gets the signal in to increase it to the value you need. Don't quote me on that, though. ;)

You need a glade plug-in, in on a footswitch.  Kick on the big muff, then hit the air freshener pedal.

  You dont.
Pot is a variable resistor, actually two of them, one on each side of the wafer.
If the wafer is 100k you get about 100k of variable resistance from it, no more, the wafer will be about 100k.
You could add to it...bump it up' with a stop resistor means
minimum resistance = stop resistor value
Max R = stop resistor + pot value.
But I rarely find useful applications for 'bumping' [FF gainpot being 1 exception], especially large pot values..
Most of the time I'll put 100k where schematic says 250k then get a 250k or leave it at 100k.
