Need help identifying a mystery pedal.

OK.  It's not really a mystery.  I built a mod kits Thunderdrive (shown here http://www.amplifiedparts.com/products/accessories/K-950 ).  I like to build kits sometimes so I can get a project that is pre-dilled and verified.  Anyways, it turns out to be a nice little overdrive.  I use it with my bass and I don't need to make any changes but of course I can't leave anything alone for too long.  I want to build another one from scratch (using higher quality components).  I am under the impression that these kits are copies but I'm not sure about this one.  I lost the build instructions but I remember it uses a MPSA18 and it has diode clipping.  It is really a simple design (everything fits on a small tag strip) and this is probably a silly question but does this sound like any other pedal you guys know?  I'm hoping that it is based on something classic so I can research popular mods.

Thanks!

MarcoMike

what are the knobs labels? "nothing" and "more nothing"???

the effect is just a passive something with a diode, I wouldn't call it an overdrive...

And a 9V battery.
Passive?
Active!

@Bill: That circuit shouldn't be too hard to rev. engineer. ;)
Mystery lounge. No tables, chairs or waiters here. In fact, we're all quite alone.

I'm confused as to why you think this is passive.

I know how it goes together.  Hell, I built the damn thing.  If I remember correctly even if I find the build instructions there wouldn't be a schematic to compare to other designs.  I may just have to make my own schematic.

One transistor and two clipping diodes?

Most likely an Electra Distortion derivative, which means it can be easily converted into several items from the Lovepedal range!
Bringing you yesterday's technology tomorrow.

I just looked this up and I think we have a winner!

hey, I am sorry Bill, I did not notice the transistor at first, and thought it was just a bunch of resistors and wire...
I didn't think enough before speaking...  :-\
