I was wondering if it would be possible to make a starved plate version of this circuit using 12AU7's ?

Hi
I'm no expert, but I can make a guess or two that might help you.

For 12AU7s the resistors all need to be smaller (replace 470k with about 47k or 100k).  The cathode resistors and trimpots also need to be reduced from 10k and 25k to about 1k.

Just a quick guess, but I think it is mixing a non-linearly increasing amount of inverted signal with the original.

let us know ofthe results.  the 12AU7 from 12V thing is a cracker !

Yes those 12AU7's are a blessing for those of us who are just starting out with tubes.
This schematic looks simple enough to be converted into a DIY effects project.
What are those 1M and 25K symbols with the arrows accross them ? Is this some older way of illustating a potentiometer ?
